Fishing with Authority

Mark 1:9-34

“Fishing with Authority”

1. Jesus called His disciples with the promise that He would make them fishers of men. (v.16-20)

2. Jesus taught with authority, and exercised authority over demons. (v.21-28)

3. Jesus’ fame spread quickly as he healed many and cast out demons. (v.29-34)

Application:

1. If you truly follow Jesus, you will become a fisher of men.

2. Jesus and His gospel has the power and authority to heal you and set you free from spiritual bondage.

3. Jesus’ fame has spread, but our mission is to make Him famous for the right reasons!
